Karnataka: 12 tonnes of Anna Bhagya rice seized

City Crime Branch sleuths have seized 12 tonnes of rice, which was released to be distributed under the Anna Bhagya scheme. The rice which being was transported in a goods vehicle near Siddalingapura was seized. CCB team led by ACP SN Sandesh Kumar stopped a vehicle, following a tip-off that he was carrying bags full of rice. The truck driver who was taking rice to Bengaluru has been detained after Metagalli police registered a police complaint. About 60 bags of rice worth Rs 4.1 lakh have been seized, police said
