A senior government official said the procurement of paddy and all Kharif crops would be done at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) announced by the Government of India. Farmers are requested to dry their paddy crops properly as per the government standards and bring them within the prescribed moisture limits to ensure immediate procurement of their crops, he stated.
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, along with other procurement agencies, has completed all preparations to ensure that farmers do not face any problems while selling their crops.
This time, the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) has implemented a new system for mandi gate passes, allowing farmers to generate passes from home. For those farmers, who do not have access to this facility, gate passes will be provided at the market entrance itself, the official added.
